Surprisingly, the answer is yes! I joined a free service about a year ago that rewards me for reading emails and visiting websites. The service is actually pretty cool. I earn points each time I read an email from them and visit the website promoted in the email (and I can earn even more points if I signup or make a purchase on the website I visit). The points can then be redeemed for gift cards from many different merchants. Personally, I like the Starbucks gift cards (they help support my coffee habit) but there are department store cards, travel awards and more.
